Following this afternoon's accident involving the Glória Funicular, CARRIS regrets the existence of casualties and is following the situation.
CARRIS reports that all maintenance protocols were carried out and complied with, namely general maintenance, which takes place every four years and was carried out in 2022, interim repairs, which occur every two years, the last of which took place in 2024, and that the monthly and weekly maintenance programmes and daily inspections have been scrupulously complied with.
CARRIS immediately opened an investigation along with the competent authorities to determine the causes of this accident.
